When you do what I do for a living you regularly see activities that businesses are involved with to bring good fortune their way. All are valiant efforts to resonate with their audience.
One customer of mine (John Mill) is in the editing stage of his first book. He recognizes that doing business with a book in hand will help position his brand positively in people’s mind. Adding ‘author’ to his profile fits with his brand as a succession lawyer. It’s a natural progression from the blog I advised him to begin a few short years ago.
Another customer has teamed up with the State of Michigan and have developed a Mentorship program for Start-ups. They as a packaging company (Michigan Box) see a great deal of opportunity helping young brands from the ground up. Entitled “Leap Out” it will be a fantastic resource for the Mentees. It gives Michigan Box an opportunity to give back to Michigan business.
Then there’s the coaches in Vancouver and Dublin who are actively defining their brands so as to be of optimum benefit to their customers. I’m assisting them in their identities in an effort to make them memorable and inspirational. It’s a mix of personal and corporate banding. The effort is to define them, and having accomplished that have them grow into it.
My last example is another Vancouver customer who is actively developing a brand image for a patented health product. They’re actively seeking licensing partners to help grow their brand ten-fold.
Just from this small sampling you can see how much fun it is to be involved in such a diverse portfolio. I learn so much from my customers in my role as a Branding Expert.
